Four Sides Fundamentals Hip Circuit

Work with James, specialist lower limb physiotherapist, on this hip endurance challenge. This series of exercises efficiently activates the hip muscles. The hip is a complex joint with a big influence on the knee, pelvis and spine. The hip has the ability to move in all three planes of movement: front to back, side to side and with rotation. Muscular control of these movement patterns is essential for function. The series starts in side lying and finishes in standing. It requires no equipment, and is therefore super versitile. It can be used to target hip endurance or as pre-activation before dynamic exercise.
